If you’ve made your way to this article (welcome!), you’re no doubt interested to see what result you can expect from taking Clenbuterol, or, to give it its proper name Clenbuterol Hydrochloride. The question is, what results are possible? Are the potential side effects worth the gains? And how much should you take to ensure you get the result you want without increasing the potential for side effects?

In this piece, we’re going to answer all the above. Plus, I’ll share my personal experience of Clenbuterol with you, as well as discussing the vast amount of anecdotal evidence currently smattered across bodybuilding websites, forums, message boards, and the like.

Why Bodybuilders, Athletes and Boxers Use Clenbuterol

Before we take a look at what Clenbuterol is, let’s first take a brief look at what it is, how it works, and why it is so popular amongst athletes, bodybuilders, and gym-goers alike.

Clenbuterol is used by bodybuilders, athletes, and gym-goers for two main reasons: burning fat and improving athletic performance. What most people (who are considering using Clen) don’t realize is that Clenbuterol is actually a very potent bronchodilator that is prescribed by doctors to treating breathing and lung-related conditions, such as Asthma.

Clenbuterol works via two mechanisms: firstly, by expanding and opening up our lungs and airway (which, in turn, improves breathing), and secondly, by increasing heat production within cells, which, in turn, induces thermogenic effects. Given these two pathways of action, it’s easy to see why bodybuilders, athletes, and anyone else looking to get into shape turns to Clenbuterol for help. Those seeking to lose body weight and burn fat can harness Clenbuterol’s thermogenic ability to do so. Those looking to enhance athletic performance can use Clenbuterol to improve their lung function and stamina.

Furthermore, it has also been suggested that Clen might have a third string to its bow: anabolism, i.e., it will promote muscle growth. While there are animal studies that attest to this, as of yet, there aren’t any human studies that confirm this; therefore, it’s best to assume, for now, that Clen isn’t anabolic and is, at best, anti-catabolic, i.e., it preserves muscle mass. So if you’re contemplating using Clen as an anabolic, you’d be best served using anabolic steroids or other similar PEDs.

What Results Can You Expect When Using Clenbuterol?

The most commonly asked question in relation to Clenbuterol is, ‘What result can I expect?’. Although it’s impossible to give a specific answer to this question (given that there are so many variables: genetics, individual tolerance, diet, training, body fat levels, etc.), it is possible to use the vast amount of anecdotal evidence to see what results someone can expect from sing Clenbuterol for between two and four weeks (the most common cycle lengths for Clen).

Based on the aforementioned anecdotal evidence, it’s apparent that those using Clenbuterol will experience noticeable - but not drastic - changes in their physique in two weeks. That being said, you will undoubtedly feel the effects of Clenbuterol within hours of taking your very first dose. For most, shakes, feeling hot, increased heart rate, and increased perspiration occur within the first first day and continue each and every day of their Clen cycle. While it must be pointed out that diet and training are the primary catalysts for burning fat and improving body composition, Clenbuterol will certainly amplify this and allow users to enhance the results. It’s during weeks three to four that the ‘magic’ happens, and this is when Clen starts to really shine and when you’ll see dramatic changes in your physique.

As mentioned above, accurately discussing the ‘results’ of any performance-enhancing drug is difficult given the number of variables involved, so it’s impossible to say you’ll lose X lbs or burn Y % body fat. However, if you want to get the best results from Clenbuterol (or any other PED for that matter), you must ensure that your diet and training are dialed in. The more attention you pay to perfecting and fine-tuning these, the better your result will be. Period.

Clen Results: My Experience and Thoughts

Having used Clenbuterol myself on several occasions, it’s probably wise for me to share my experiences in as much detail as possible as this will help you to figure whether or not Clen is the right compound for you and whether or not it’s worth adding to your fat loss stack. In fact, I’ve actually used Clen by itself for four weeks, so I know first-hand the type of results that can be expected.

My Results with Clen

I started my four-week Clen cycle weighing 197lbs at 14% body fat. For the first two weeks, I took 10mcg per day to assess my tolerance, finishing off with 20mcg per day for the final two weeks. I consumed maintain calories, with energy mainly coming from fats, low carbs (always the best way to lose fat from my experience), and circa 200 grams of protein per day.

My training consisted of heavy weight training Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and HIIT workouts Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday (Sunday was my day off). At the end of the four weeks, I had lost 9lbs, the majority of which was body fat (perhaps a small amount of muscle too), and looked drastically different even though I hadn’t dropped a huge amount of weight. Without the Clen, I’d have probably lost around a pound per week, so it clearly amplified what I was trying to achieve.

Side Effects I Experienced Using Clen

It would be irresponsible of me to discuss my results without touching on the side effects I experienced. All PEDs come with side effects, and knowing what to expect is important as you’ll be prepared for all eventualities. Where PEDs are concerned, I typically don’t suffer from many ill effects. Androgens often adversely impact my cholesterol and blood pressure, but aside from that, I fare relatively well. Clenbuterol wasn’t too dissimilar, although it is a completely different kettle of fish to anabolic steroids. Within 45 mins of my first dose, I experience some mild tremors and certainly felt hotter, and this is something I felt throughout my four-week cycle. It didn’t ever get to the point where it was too uncomfortable, and I felt like I needed to stop, but I was most definitely aware of it. But at the end of the day, it comes with the territory; thermogenic compounds, by their very nature, will induce these types of effects.

Clenbuterol Results: Final Thoughts

All in all, Clenbuterol is an effective thermogenic agent that will help to amplify fat loss and physique changes - provided that you’re doing everything you can to maximize results yourself through diet and training. Side effects should be expected; however, if you begin with a very low dose to assess your tolerance, you should be ok. Remember, less is more where PEDs are concerned!
